Applications for Camps for 2010

If you are considering an 'away from school' educational experience in 2009 then Tinaroo Environmental Ed. Centre provides a range of activities in both Environmental and Outdoor Education.

We offer programs for day visits or extended camps of up to 5 days.

Programs provided at this centre have a genuine focus on assisting teachers achieve specified essential learnings rather than merely being recreational activities.
- Applications for camps in 2010 will open on Monday 9 November 2009.
Please note:
This Centre can cater for a maximum of 2 class groups at any one time and applications should be made by the teacher or teachers who will be accompanying the group.
General Guidelines for 2010:
- Year 4/5 camps run over 3 days. Canoeing is not offered for these year levels. Canoes are still used as a means of transporting pupils (towed behind the safety boat) to various locations around the dam.
- Year 6 and 7 camps run over at least 4 or 5 days (3 day residential camps for Yr 6 & 7 are considered a less desirable option).
Applications:
- Applications are only accepted online via this website.
- Applications will only be accepted from a class teacher for a camp/activity with his/her class.
- Successful applicants will need to attend a Familiarisation Day at this Centre (on a pupil free day) prior to their camp.
- For schools wishing to have an camp/activity in Term 1 applications will close on Friday 4th December 2009.
- All applicants will be notified of their success or otherwise during the week beginning 15 February 2010.
