You have chosen your program and selected your sustainibility focus and completed the online form called "Plan your camp here"

Once you have done this: Below is the suggested way to move forward and ensure that all bases are covered for your camp.

Unit of work with camp as your culminating activity.

Conclude unit with the focus now being on the week on camp.

Jobs:

  1. Read our "Notes for Teachers" page.
  2. Check out camp costs (don't forget to book transport and calculate costs)
  3. Explore meal options
  4. Read "Cooking on Camp"
  5. Send first letter to parents (camp details - dates, activities, approx. cost etc)

Jobs:

  1. Complete "Variation to School" Routine in place at your school. Your school will need some documentation on Risk Management.

  1. Send second letter to parents (include - Consent Form, Informed Consent details, Code of Behaviour, Camp Program)
  2. Send letter to accompanying parents

  1. Organise your night time activities

Focus on camp:

  1. Organize Groups - Suggest teacher organise Duty Groups and students organise their tent groups (4 to a tent)
  2. Organize Duty Roster (assign an adult for each meal)
  3. Collect Consent Forms

  1. Send final numbers and menu choices
  2. Fax through Group List, one for each group
  3. Make copies of Duty Groups, Duty Roster, Tent Groups and Timetable (to be displayed in kitchen)
  4. Review with your class what to bring and what not to bring.

  1. Alert List (signed by your principal)
  2. Attach copies of any "Medical Management Plans" (Part C of consent Form)
  3. All Consent forms
  4. Know your exact numbers
  5. First Aid kit for your trip
